At Smiles Pediatric Dentistry we make every attempt to schedule appointments at your convenience. After school and Saturday hours are available. Allotted Appointment times are designed to fit your child's specific needs. Infants, toddlers and special needs children are usually scheduled in the morning when they are alert and more cooperative. Young children with more dental needs are also preferably seen in the morning. This allows parents more time during the day to make sure their child is comfortable after the session. Parents also have the chance to call us with any questions or concerns the same day of treatment. The California State Education Code (Article 2, Section 46010(b)3) designates medical, dental and vision appointments as excused absences. Students missing only part of the school day are to be counted as in attendance. We will be happy to provide schools with letters explaining the necessary dental treatment.
Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient we ask that you please notify our office 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to come in. Another patient who needs our care could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.
